Club Info
The Mid Suffolk Mutts is Suffolk's first Skater Hockey Club. We are focused on developing this fast paced team roller sport in and around our home town of Stowmarket.
Our plan has been to make the sport accessible to families in Suffolk, without parents having to break the bank to pay for expensive kit and memberships whilst their children explore a new sport, make friends and learn about resilience, positivity and team spirit.
We started the club up in January 2019 with 6 children, crowd funded just over £1000 to purchase the basic protective equipment and initial hall time. We now have 18 players and have doubled our hall time to create a club development programme.
We have also been proudly supported by AJ’s Legacy, Come Get Some, and Cabbages and Kings; three organisations that have helped us to create our new club as well as helping lots of young people in our county.

Training
Our Saturday sessions are designed for both experienced players and beginners with focus on improving the fundamentals of both skating and hockey. The session runs from 10AM till 12PM every Saturday at:
Debenham Sports and Leisure centre,
Gracechurch Street
Debenham,
Stowmarket,
Suffolk, IP14 6BL.
If you have a child that would like to take part please get in touch before coming to the session so we can allocate pads and arrange paperwork for your child to play.
Beginners (Basic kit):
we can temporarily loan basic kit and skates (depending on size) for beginners and offer each childs first three session 100% free. There will be limited physical contact in scrimmages but more focus on the basics of skating, passing, stick handling and shooting. Your child will need to complete a skills checklist and be fully kitted before being selected for the team or proposed development training.
Team (Full Kit)
Our hockey style is fast and physical with a strong focus on team play, so as soon as your child is fully kitted and has completed their skill checklist they will be allowed to explore the contact element of skater hockey and start to develop offensive/ defensive plays.
